Evil Queen: Do Not Disturb Review
Do Not Disturb

There is a special time, usually around 4:50 PM on a Friday, where I just cannot look at a screen anymore and my nesting instinct truly comes to life. I disconnect from my computer and start trying to transform my living into an aesthetic I’ve named “Cloud”, where everything must be soft, warm, fluffy, and fragrant. Enter the Do Not Disturb candle, the answer for all of your luxury ambiance needs.
This candle is stupidly gorgeous. Like it should probably get into modeling. It has dried rose petals embedded into the top of the candle, which makes it feel extra decadent and spa-like. I was almost too enraptured to burn it- ALMOST.
The initial scent I picked up on was a lavender mixed with something earthy, perhaps the cedar or sandalwood(still working on my candle scent palette as my wine one is hopeless). The earthiness prevents the lavender from being too sweet, which is something that I’ve found to be prevalent in many lavender scents and something is a huge headache trigger for me. When you get closer to the candle a surprise jumps out- oh what's this?! Do I detect the bright zest of some citrus?! I think the bergamot and lemon are superstars in helping this candle be both relaxing and mind clearing- which is exactly what I need after a long work week to get my brain ready to judge the maniacs on 90 Day Fiance.
While it doesn’t challenge the status of Snowed In as the queen of Evil Queen candles, it is a rich, relaxing treat to unwind to. I find it is a candle better suited to a larger room, since in my opinion, sandalwood can be a little heady in a smaller space. I think I will keep trying out different Evil Queen candles before repurchasing this one, but even as I type this, I can’t stop staring at how beautiful it is. This candle would make the perfect gift since it is so elegant looking and shows people what incredible taste you have in picking the coolest gifts *humble brag*.
