Evil Queen: Snowed In Review
Snowed In
Collection: Limited Edition- Seasonal
Wax: Soy
Throw: Strong
Snowed In is the candle that started my love for Evil Queen. I heard incredible things about Evil Queen from Reddit so I decided to try out the seasonal options and the scent notes of Snowed In caught my eye. Just reading the scent notes made me drool.
Scent notes from the Evil Queen website: “Notes of ginger, cream, butter, and graham cracker come through right away, while the familiar aromas of vanilla, molasses, and spices evolve with the burn.”
I got drunk on wine one night and wrote this elegy for Snowed In on the Evil Queen site:
“LIKE LIVING INSIDE A GINGERBREAD HOUSE
ZUZANA ON FEB 16, 2021
The weather outside is frightful, but in here it's so delightful. Here being the gingerbread house that I am transported to upon the lighting of this candle. The throw is lovely and strong and drapes my house in the scents of cookies, warmth, sugar and bliss.”
Unclear on what else I can do to describe this candle. It is the first candle that I bought before I even finished the first one because I was obsessed.
The cold scent throw was moderate, but this candle really bloomed once lit. The happy smell of baking, molasses, butter, and gingerbread quickly filled the whole room. As someone is who is prone to headaches from heady scents, I found that Snowed In did not overpower my senses, despite the sweet gourmand description.
Snowed In is majestic and it makes my apartment smell like I am baking for Jude Law and his beautiful, motherless children in an English country house while learning that my busy work life does NOT define me. I’ve been lighting it throughout the bleak winter months and it made me feel extra cozy and happy after a long day at work. Take my money, you Evil Queen.
